The county’s primary goal is to ensure sufficient public parking and restroom capacity over the next 50 years associated with visitation to county parks and certain other public lands in a defined geographic area within western Marin County. A secondary goal is to identify parking and restroom capacity needs resulting from visitation to other destinations in the region, so that local communities can develop a plan of action to address those needs. As a part of this study, the consultant team led by AECOM, will be conducting interviews with groups and/or individuals in the community to better understand the availability and location of existing public visitor parking and restroom facilities, and gather any ideas, concerns or suggestions . I have been asked to recommend key leaders, organizations and stakeholders who know our communities and public lands well, and who might be willing to provide information to guide AECOM’s report and recommendations to the County. Knowing of your role in the community, I have given your name and contact information to the County Park’s Project Manager, Craig Richardson, and to the AECOM project leaders, Feliz Ventura and Linda Cheu, and I expect they will be reaching out to you. I hope this is not an imposition. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I have attached the scope of work for the study, for your information. Thank you.
